The Story Of Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water,
and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are whole and strong
again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by.
These animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: They each miss someone special, someone who was left
behind.
Then a day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are content; his eager
body begins to quiver. Suddenly he breaks away from the others, flying over the green grass, faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling to each other in joyous reunion,
never to be parted again.
Happy kisses rain upon your face. Your hands caress the beloved head and you look once more into those trusting eyes
so long gone from your life, but never absent in your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...
Rainbow Bridge For Those Without A Friend In This Life
Some animals at Rainbow Bridge are different. They were beaten, starved, tortured, and unloved. They wistfully watch
as their friends leave, one by one, to cross the Bridge with their one special person.
But one day, as they run and play, they notice someone standing alone by the road to the Bridge. The person wistfully
watches the reunions of old friends, for in their lifetime, they had been beaten, starved, tortured, and unloved.
As they stand there, one of the unloved pets approaches them, curious as to why they are alone. As they get nearer
to each other a miracle occurs - For these are the ones that were meant to be together: their special human, their beloved
pet, although on Earth they never met.
With the meeting of two souls, the pain and sorrow disappears and the two friends are together. Then they cross Rainbow
Bridge together, never to be parted again...

Puka |
In Memory of Puka Pinata
She died today...
The sweet little old lady they threw away.
She never learned to love again -
She spent her last three years just waiting for "them".
Alone beside her grave I kneal
and grieve for the heart my love could not heal.
God, please take this tiny soul in your hands,
safe from the callousness of careless man;
On Rainbow Bridge please let her play
and reunite her with those she loved one day.
And when the time comes that you call me,
please take me to the Bridge that I might see
the blessing of your Love and Grace
through happiness on this little girl's face.
From the foster mom that loved her.
