What began in 2000 as a small group of four individuals, passionate in their love of canines, has grown into what we
now call "Little Feet":
A privately operated, Christian based, 501(c)3, rescue organization, guided by a five member Board of Directors following
strict by-laws, policies and proceedures, dedicated to the rescue, foster care, and placement of the homeless and helpless.
We are devoted to saving the lives of death row shelter dogs who can
not find foster care in other rescues due to lack of space, need of medical or emotional rehabilitation, need of long term
foster care, or special placement needs. We also accept owner relinquished pets whose personality, temperament, or medical
issues would prevent them from being adopted from a shelter environment.
There is no euthanasia due to lack of placement - Once they're here, they're safe. At Little
Feet we believe all life is precious. We believe that somewhere out there, there is someone looking for each of our kids -
It just takes time for them to be found. We give them that time.
All Little Feet Foster Kids are assessed by experienced foster moms
before becoming available for adoption. We disclose all known backgrounds of those in our care, including how and why they
came into rescue, their foster care personality and needs assessment, and any past or on going medical issues.
Furkids in our care are housed in private foster homes, living as family members where all
medical needs are met, care and training is provided, and most importantly, they are loved.
Our moms are devoted to each and every foster in their care. Because
our moms know their kids best, they work directly with applicants to help you
decide if one of our fosters is the perfect fit for your family.
Our kids are never adopted on a “first come, first
severed” basis. We aren’t looking for “just a home” for our
fosters - We’re looking for “the perfect, forever home”. To us, each of our fosters is a unique individual
and we do our best to match our fosters’ personalities and placement needs with those of his or her potential family.
We want both to be comfortable, happy, and share unconditional love for a life time.
When considering applications, no one person in our group has the power to approve or deny an adoption. While our foster
moms accept and screen applications for their fosters, all applications that meet adoption requirements are carefully reviewed
by our five member Board of Directors along with the mom of the foster who is being considered. There must be a unanimous
agreement among these six individuals in order for any adoption to be approved.
